Primary Treatment

At Crystal Cove, we believe that recovering from addiction is a process of transformation in all areas of life. We combine the finest medical and clinical care available with the essence of the great Eastern healing traditions within a 12-step recovery model for complete renewal of mind, body and spirit. Only when the whole person is treated – not just the symptoms but the underlying causes – can recovery begin.

We are committed to providing a safe, supportive environment where you can heal. Our clinical therapist, counseling staff and holistic practitioners will tailor an individual program specific to your needs and goals. We’ll help you explore core values and dreams so you understand your lifestyle choices and learn how to make better ones. Under our guidance, we’ll help you design a new life in sobriety filled with optimal health, greater possibilities and rewarding relationships.

First 30-days

During the initial 30-days of treatment, you are likely to have a lot of feelings churning inside of you. Women often use alcohol and drugs to overcome or numb emotions that seem overwhelming. When the substance is removed, those feelings that have been repressed have to be released. Volatile emotions and mood swings are not unusual early in recovery. There’s likely to be some fear involved as well. Just remember those around you are probably feeling the same way.

After settling into one of our comfortable residential homes, most of your day will be spent at our modern Wellness Center. This is the central healing place for holistic therapies such as meditation, massage and acupuncture as well as one-on-one counseling, process groups and core workshops. At the Wellness Center, you’ll meet with our clinical psychologist, your assigned drug and alcohol counselor and each holistic practitioner in order to develop a personalized treatment program just for you. We also provide you with a complimentary pass to the local fitness club during your first 30-days to encourage the benefits of regular exercise. Twice daily, you’ll attend 12-step meetings in the local recovery community that allow you to build relationships and put life skills into practical application. We encourage family participation in your recovery. Dependent upon your specific needs, sessions with our Marriage and Family Therapist may be included in your program. Families are invited to attend weekend socials and be an integral part of the healing process with you.
